I haven't updated my blog for a long time, mainly because I'm busy with work and have less spare time. In addition, I spent more time on the FileCu.be project, so the blog was temporarily put on hold.

Now the project is about to be released, and it is all piecemeal optimization and improvement. Take the time to chat about what happened during this break.

At the beginning of April, I moved due to some reasons. My desk was moved to the north-facing room. Although it is a high floor, the north-facing room basically cannot see the sun. It is either under construction or has already been built. The commercial housing that has been built has basically no supporting greenery, and there are only small tree trunks. It is completely different from the large green plants that looked out of the window before.

Because there is no suitable place for the cabinet, it can only be temporarily placed behind my chair. This produces humming low-frequency noise. The temperature in Shanghai is still slightly cool in April, and the servers are still in PUE mode. The noise is still within an acceptable range at low room temperature. But now the ambient temperature is 36°, and the fans of the servers are starting to make noise, and the wind blowing from behind the buttocks is getting hotter and hotter.

I recalled that since I moved here, the speed of development and the desire to write articles have almost plummeted. There was even no submission for a week. Insufficient, and I didn't care much.

Until recently, when I was debugging a multi-database joint query bug, I was lying in bed with a very clear mind, and the problem could be solved by changing here and there. Immediately I jumped up and sat down at the table, but the buzzing, dry hot air made my inspiration disappear, and then I tried to fix the bug, but it got worse and worse.

Finally, I can't stand this room anymore. This is not a problem that can be solved by installing an air conditioner. Although cooling can slow down the speed of the fan, the noise still exists. Moreover, when I sit and rest and look into the distance, I can only see gray and brown. Mood sour.

Now I bought a new desk in the bedroom for office use. Although I didn't immediately feel the improvement in coding efficiency, at least I was in the mood to update the blog. I don’t know what this principle is called, but I can conclude from my personal experience: in a comfortable place, no matter what you do, you will be very efficient. If the environment is uncomfortable, even simple things can be messed up .
