Because I have been too busy with work recently, I have a lot of ideas in my mind that I haven’t exported. Let’s start with simple ones first. Recently, I planned to write a new website, but before I officially launch it, I wanted to get the domain name ready and create a docking page. What is a docking page?

Just like the picture above, you can customize the content at will. In fact, you can customize the functions at will, as long as you can write JS. The following content is how to use CloudFlare’s Worker service deployment docking page.

# Creating Wroker

I won’t go into details about registering and logging in to Cloudflare. Let’s create a Worker first. On the home page, click Workers and Pages in the left sidebar, which is the button below:

As soon as you come in, it will introduce you to what this functional module does. Skip it and click Create:

On the Create Application page, click Create Worker:

Cloudflare will ask you to name the project. You can use the name you want, enter it, click Save, and then click Finish in the lower right corner:

A preview interface will pop up and click Done directly:

The previous step takes a few seconds to wait, and the following interface will pop up:

At this time, click on the edit code in the upper right corner, and we will enter an editor interface similar to Vscode-like, as shown in the following figure:

I put my code on this link: Worker 代码. Copy and paste the code inside into CloudFlare’s editor, like this. Please refer to the picture below:

Then click the deploy button in the upper right corner.

# Set up custom fields

After all the above is completed, set up a domain name endpoint you want to dock at in Worker Settings> Custom Domains. I’m using https://book.tstrs.me here, and you can use any domain name you deploy in CloudFlare.

This docking page was originally planned to be used on a small project of my own. I planned to enable the domain name first and deployed a docking page to warn myself to complete it as soon as possible. However, the manuscript was delayed and the website was online before the article was released.

Recently, I have been learning JS. Serverless deployment is really cool. I don’t need to think about what to use for back-end infrastructure. One deployment, global access, and the access speed in most places is very fast. Moreover, Cloudfalre also has a D1 database, KV key-value pairs, task queues, and various services that are designed for cloud natively, which is really a shuttle.
